SACC Minnesota's Trainee Program is an educational and cultural exchange program, offering young people from Sweden an excellent opportunity to gain experience with SACC Minneosta and one of our Member Companies in the United States.

The purpose of the Exchange Visitor Program is to promote and foster respect and education between Sweden and the U.S. by providing Swedish students and young professionals the opportunity to participate in a structured training program.

The areas of training can include:
  • Management
  • Business
  • Commerce and Finance
  • Science
  • Engineering
  • Architecture
  • Mathematics
  • Industrial Occupations
  • Public Administration
  • Law

The length of the training program may vary between 12 months up to 18 months. The exact length will be decided in each individual case, once a match between a host and an intern/trainee has been made.

As an intern/trainee you will improve your knowledge of American techniques, compare U.S. workplace environments and operations to those in your home country, improve your English language skills in a business setting and get a head start on your career by gaining an international competitive advantage.

The specific objectives of the training program will be outlined in an individualized training plan. The training will take place under supervision provided by the host company or chamber.

The participants in SACC Minnesota's trainee program should:
  • Be between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Have finisihed at least 1 year of university studies in a field related to the intern/trainee position
  • Write and speak English fluently
  • Be a Swedish citizen
