![]() SACC Minnesota member companies have the great benefit of accessing qualified Swedish trainees for a period of between 12 months up to 18 months, at a low cost, for special projects within i.e. marketing, communications, business administration, engineering, public administration and law, media, sciences, and commerce and finance. How can my company benefit from the SACC Minnesota Trainee Program?
Host Company criteria The host company must be a SACC Minnesota member, and have at least one fulltime employee working at the office where the intern/trainee will do the training. SACC Minnesota recommends that the host company offers the trainee a stipend or maintenance allowance to cover living expenses during the training period. The stipend should at least be the equivalent amount of minimum wage. Finding interns/trainees If the host company would like SACC Minnesota to present them with appropriate intern/trainee candidates, they should provide SACC Minnesota with a description of the intern/trainee position offered, specifying special requirements, timeframe, etc. Categories Currently the following intern/trainee categories exists:
Interns/trainees in the first two categories are allowed to do training for a period of up to 12 months, but no longer. Young Professionals can do training for up to 18 months, but no longer. Through a newly formed relationship with Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg SACC can also directly offer engineering students for short term, unpaid Summer internships. Two main categories of engineers are available: CETAC and USA 2009 Summer Trainee Program. The cost per trainee would be $ 480. |
